Safe Build

Very safe build feel free to tweak to your personal play style i leave a lot of flexibility.

The main thing you need to remember is NO ESCAPES, Anubis is glass cannon by default (you can build Defensive but it takes a lot away from his play style) so with Anubis I suggest a heavy Offense to compensate for his weak Defense.

Snowball

This build is DANGEROUS for you and your enemies from what I have seen if you can stay alive (Duuh!) there wont be anything left in lane when you start casting your abilities. I would only suggest this build for a premade/mid lane and even then make sure your partner/team knows that you will be super minion dependent.

Skills

Sorrow

Great passive works great with Anubis' play style, That Protection really comes in handy when you have to stand still to cast your Plague of Locusts or Death Gaze

Plague of Locusts

Very good ability, I personally use this as a harasser great for chipping down the enemy gods health, And seeing as it is AOE its great for controlling movement in the side lanes cutting off escapes or pushing enemy gods into jungle no one likes to stand in this.

Mummify

My favorite stun in the game (and I played when Cupids Heart Bomb slowed as well) this skill is so versatile i cannot even begin to explain how many ways you can use it, but mainly use this to keep whatever you want to kill in your range and you'll do great.

Grasping Hands

Anubis' Bread and Butter, you can kill whole minion waves to rush gods, Gank jungle buffs on the run, or you know destroy the souls of all those who appose you. Grasping Hands paired with Gem of Isolation is nasty, but throw in a Mummify with either a Plague of Locusts or a Death Gaze and you pretty much always get a kill.

Death Gaze

DUM DUM DUM!!! This is your panic button. Ok maybe not a panic button but you whip this bad boy out people start running. Its damage is awesome but its down side is aiming, It's like threading a needle over someones shoulder so don't expect to get every tick off on a mobile god.

Jungling

Anubis Jungle

Anubis is an amazing jungle after about level nine to ten. At this point a quick Grasping Hands and Plague of Locusts will kill the entire camp and be off cooldown before you enter the next one.

Speed
Is a great buff for any god. But the main reason Anubis should grab it (unless you have a AD carry) is that with boots you should be able to escape from ganks or pushes using your Grasping Hands and Speed

Cooldown
Less Cool down enough said

Mana
Anubis is not that mana hungry but if your near there might as well grab it unless you have a huge mana dump on your team (ex. Ne Zha)

Attack
Hell yes grab this all you can its just wonderful

Main Items

Vampiric Shroud

I didn't always start off with this item but after a few suggestions i decided to try it out it works out great and pretty much eliminates the need to get meditation. As long as you grab blue buff you can spam your abilities with this.

Boots of the Magi

This is just a great item in general, but if your more interested in cooldown reduction Boots of Celerity are a fantastic choice as well. It's mainly a play-style choice.
____________________________________________________________________________________________

Gem of Isolation

Best item for any mage in my opinion. It gives you everything you need and as a bonus gives your abilities a really nice slow.
____________________________________________________________________________________________

Obsidian Shard

A ton of magic power and magic penetration my personal favorite actually but if your getting beat up my a mage you can replace it with Void Stone and it wont hurt you to much
____________________________________________________________________________________________

Bancroft's Talon

A ton of magic power and Life steal this is where i normally replace my Vampiric Shroud the passive is also nice seeing as many people will beat on you when you use your Death Gaze or Plague of Locusts
____________________________________________________________________________________________

Rod of Tahuti

This item is going to push you over the top in damage. The extra magic power alone is worth it but add in that passive and you've got a very good item to finish off your build.

Indeed much better then when I last commented. The builds are fantastic! One thing I think you should you is removing the "who you can lane with" and add some matchup's instead and explain how you play against a certain god. For example, if you want to explain Anubis vs He bo mid, you always clear the lane with your 1 so that his knock up doesn't affect you.

I don't agree, you can get defenses on anubis without losing too much magical power, check my build/comparison and you'll see. All your builds are full damage oriented, and pretty standard (not the 2th and the 3rd one) The second one is just impossible, if you miss one stun your basicly ****ed by not having any speed (boots till mid game?) and you will lose all your stacks, especially with a decent jungler, he will have no problem to keep hitting you... Your first build on the other hand uses gem of iso (which looks very decent as it gives health and mana, and some magical power) , this will make them almost stuck in his 3, but really another wasted item, as you should have killed a person before they can even get out of it.

You did put lot's of work in it, so nice job I guess, but I personally don't see these to be viable builds for anubis, and I have played him, a lot.

If you can think of anything to add please let me know (im currently working on a list judging how dangerous other gods are)

Oh, this looks much, MUCH better than when I first looked at it. I quite like it.

The only thing I don't like is that the match-ups take up way too much space. I would suggest that you shrink them down a bit, because in order to get to the comments I had to scroll down for a good 20 seconds of match-ups.

I shall upvote.

I meant more like buying it to start off instead actually, getting it on your first doesn't make much sense. It can work on Anubis although he needs stuff like beads and aegis, but the heal from Meditation 3 works.

Thats why i moved it to situational but it is still good for Anubis' because of his weak defense

I have tested this build and i understand that meditation is not necessary but put it in more as a if your going to get it get it now kind of thing ill place it under situational would that be better?

thank you for your input it did seem a bit excessive when i was testing this morning

Great comments so far keep them coming

I know its a little boring sorry about that color isn't really my strong suit. I will be updating shortly with lane partners and how anubis fairs against opposing gods

Why would you buy Mediation on your first back? Vampiric shroud already gives you enough sustain at that point, because you can clear waves easily with your 1 or 3.

I'd advise that you not publish a guide until it's almost near completion. Just posting the build is a bit... just no.

But yeah, add a hell of a lot of sections. Also, your cheat sheet isn't finished... as in you didn't finish the skill map. Do that too.

The build itself looks good, I'm liking it.

Also, snowball builds are fun... so fun.

Well the cheat sheet is another area that i believe is all preference i can show how i prefer to play him but i really didn't want to be the kinda guide that you have to do it this way or your worthless.

And i don't plan on adding all the fluff bs to my guide i like clean and efficient, there will be useful info such as how he fairs against certain gods, and what lane partners to get or not to get

But thank you for your critic ill make sure to get the other info up and remember in the future not to publish before all the little details are in
