Hello there. I'm going to keep this plain and simple for the sake of time saving and for the sake of my brain hating to write anything out in detail.
Amaterasu is a god (godess) that is already being thought of as a godess that creates her own play style dependent upon the person controlling her. I aim to provide insight into my play style, my critiques about the godess and my way of making this godess perform the functions that I want her to perform.
So without further and unnecessary ado, let us begin...
P.S. I know there are a **** ton of builds, but that's so you don't have to think and can just pick one based on what's going on.
P.S.S. I build tabi right off the bat in casuals, just fyi.
Pros
+ High Sustain + Moderate Crowd Control + High Mobility + Fast Basic Attack Allows For Power Stacking + Variable Passive Allows For On The Fly Judgement Calls |
Cons
- Slow To Build Power - Crowd Control Tied to Ultimate - Movement Speed Tied Mostly To Items - Early Game Lacking - Passives Can Be Hard To Manage |
Neutral
+ Warrior allows for easy customization - Critical Strike is Worthless + Can be used as a bruiser mid/late game - Building Full Tank can ruin this godess + Her 2 lacks base damage in early game |
Okay, precursor, I'm not linking every single item here for the sake of my sanity. I don't need to explain why every item is good and why every item is the way it is. If you don't know what all the items in the build do then read the description and spend 2 hours practicing with all of them like the rest of us.
You buy her core. You pick 1 defensive and 2 power if you're ahead, vice versa if you're behind and tailor the items to an either physical heavy enemy or magical heavy enemy, simple as that. This guide is to help smite players play a god BETTER, not learn how to play smite in general.
A list of completed builds is given at the end of the standard builds if you can't make up your mind.
This is now a I WUNT LURSEN CUS I KNER HOW TUR PLEY free zone.
(1,2,3,4. This is how I'm going to list opener orders, combos, etc.)
Bruiser:
You play like you would a guardian, however, you have damage so don't be afraid to initiate team fights. 4,2,3 Opener or use 3 as finisher. Use 1 to escape with the passive speed buff, make sure you have power up before going in. Use 3 as a finisher. Don't push unless you have team support or ult up.
Ganker:
You play like an assassin, snipe from sides, jump in with 3 on a target, use 4 to stun 1-2 enemies, use 2 to finish someone off, don't chain abilities unless you can secure the kill. By the time one is dead use your 3 to get out again. Very mana heavy early game. Swap 1 passives as needed.
Standard Melee:
You just play her like any newbie would. Build defensive and power, use 2 for attacked from afar after clearing waves. Use 4 on team fights. 1 depending on what you and your teammates need. and 3 to get away from the enemies, clear waves, etc.
All in all, this chick is easy to play, easy to win with, above average but not OP. I've played around 6-8 hours on her so far in joust alone, have played 2 hours in skirms with other players and am branching out to conquest to play her solo and jungle. She has the potential to be an insane jungler, so a build will follow if I find the magic combos. Other then what I have listed, don't be a precocious ******* and auto lock her because she's new. Play her well, learn her, and lock her when you know what you're doing. If you have any questions, refer to my above statements, or figure it out from where you are. This build outlines everything you need to know to play her at least somewhat well. After that it's up to you. And since I'm not getting paid to teach you guys anything, don't expect personal lessons on how to go 14/1 every game.
