Given the absence of Agni guides for season 3, I decided to write this one. Agni is the first god I bought and have mained him ever since; this guide is a result of a painstaking trial and error (along with some advice). This build always worked great for me and hopefully, it will work for you too.
NOTE : This guide is tested and working for CLASH, ARENA AND JOUST ONLY.
The hardest thing about Agni is hitting your combos and ultimate. So, the key to good Agni play is practice, really. As far as the general strategy goes, there isn't much to talk about, imo. Your first skill is used literally just to combo with the other 3; your second skill is nothing more than a damaging ability and your third skill is an escape. You can use it offensively too, but don't do it unless you're 100% sure you can get a kill or get away. Your passive gives the enemy a damage-over-time effect after being hit by any of your spells except the first one after you've landed 4 successful basic attacks. Make sure you charge this whenever you can early to mid game. Your ultimate is your alpha and omega : it's got the biggest range, no mana cost and can hold up to 3 charges (20 sec cooldown for each). Spam this plenty, but keep at least 1 or 2 for kills or saves.
Your job is to stay back, clear creeps and wait for the opportunity to strike. This should be either after the fight has been initiated by one of your own or by the enemy. You generally shouldn't initiate yourself, since your stun only lasts 1 second until you get a good amount of damage and can dispatch a character and give your team a massive advantage. After getting said damage, don't be afraid to get aggresive; just mind your health, cooldowns and surroundings, since you are incredibly easy to kill once caught.
Once you've seen an opportunity to attack, your starting combo should generally be 4, then 1 under it. It sounds much more difficult than it is. Use this to stun your opponents and secure kills, save your teammates or disable the enemy so you can get close. You can use additional ult strikes after this or run in and blast your 2.
If your ult is on cooldown, the best way to stun your opponents is to put down your 1, then immidiately rush to the area of effect with your 3. After that, run back behind your team unless you want your guts for garters. You can also stun by putting the fumes on the fire that stays after you use your 3. This is especially good if you're being chased, but takes a while to get right.
Another way to ignite your 1 is with your 2, but use it only to clear larger waves. You can stun the enemies with this combo too, but only if you're 100% certain it will hit. The trick with this combo is that, while it's hard to hit, it pays off : it's the only combo with your 1 where the damage from your other spell spreads evenly across the area. If you're skilled enough, you can even kill a running enemy by using the fumes to increase the range of your 2.
I hope this guide helps. If I've been wrong anywhere, please tell me in the comments!
