I am new at this game and I consider myself pretty good. I would like to get to 30 before the beta ends. I am not quite sure how the xp system works. Is it only wins that give you xp? Do certain modes give you more than others. If someone could explain to me how this works I would appreciate it!
You get extra XP for first wins of the day and winning, however I've never seen any numbers for how much you get or anything like that!
If anyone knows how much you get that'd be super useful!!
I have seen some people say playing arena will help level up faster, I assume because you can complete games and get more kills this way but not seen this confirmed!
Do as many of the 1st wins as possible, get a group of friends and play dammit. Play until your eyes burn from the sight of seeing Aphrodite's tits, from the wonders of how Loki can pop up behind you and wreck your ****.
In other words, just keep playing and try to find something that works for you. That could be a God, a team, etc. Get those wins and learn from your games, and you'll see your exp going up.

You know, staring at Aphrodite's tits all day doesn't sound too bad.
just get every win of the day that you can and after that play who and what playlists you love and you'll get there, or just play whatever has the soonest time to start.
