Thought I'd post a list of games I'm playing and some thoughts.

HOTAS (Hands-on Throttle and Stick)

I don't have an actual throttle yet, but I picked this beaut up a bit ago.


It's been great so far...a lot of complaints of sticks on the market are regarding their reliability, or lack thereof. From my research, it seems this brand is quite reliable overall, and this comes at a fair price point (Premium Right has a base price of $150, then add shipping). A lot of the more mainstream brands / products out there are boosted in price (sometimes 2x their original retail) due to low stock and people buying/scalping (same as video cards, PS5s, Switches, etc.). These include Logitech's X52 and X56 (throttle + stick) and Thrustmaster's T.16000M. There are, of course, higher end products, but I'm not willing to spend $500+ at this point =P

Some of you might have noticed my lack of presence on this site in the last couple of months. That's because I was taking a bit of a break due to a bunch of things going on: Recently I got a new job but with a schedule that doesn't leave much to have free time to sit down a write like I usually do, I've picked up the guitar again after dropping it 10+ years ago, and I've been working on my artistic skills with a new drawing program (Clip Studio Paint) as well as just working on other projects I wanted to do for a while.
With the start of the new season, I thought it might be time for me to not just come back but also start putting in the leg work my peers expect me to, the Tsukuyomi guide contest made me look at how lacking my guides have been, and since I'm not one to accept failure, and put the time and energy back into something I was once passionate about.

Hello there!

The time has come for me to once again update my He Bo Guide for the new season. This, of course, means experimenting with a lot of new items and purchase orders. With the (re)introduction of starter items, a lot of things need reconsidering. Usually, I would not post a blog discussing my planned changes. But around this time of year, matchmaking completely implodes on itself and it becomes increasingly difficult to gather meaningful research in game (as games usually end before I can buy my fourth-fifth item). I could wait until things are fixed, but ideally I would like to have these changes implemented for the season 8 guide contest.

So, to whoever ends up reading this, I would like to know your thoughts (keep in mind all questions pertain to joust only).

First off: Do you see value in postponing boots to your third item in order to buy both a starter item and rush a sustain item (conduit > bancrofts > boots)?

Hello everyone! As ya'll know, I hope, I'm ThePerfectPrism, AKA Pris, Prism, Leo, etc. And I've been DM'ing my own table for the past what, 7-8 months at this point? Yup, I’m back. I took a break from playing smite for a little while because i had a lot of life stuff going on but I kept in touch with meta and stuff like that. I came back to playing about a month ago and have been playing the best I have ever played. I hit gm in conq and duel like normal but in a competitive setting I have been playing so well, and I thought what better time to come back then right before season 8 starts.
